Have wanted to go here for ages as vegans it is always nice to support a vegan business. We went on Sunday for a Groupon, which was a lucky find by chance although they had 30% off this month which we didn't know about till we arrived. The place is lovely; it has a very chilled vibe. We had the Sunday roast, which was butternut squash as the main with other veggies. The roast potatoes were slightly over, but apart from that it was all beautifully cooked and seasoned well. We finished with a sticky toffee pudding and a banoffee pie, which had 30% off, which was an unexpected surprise as I assumed it would be mains only. They have a reward card where you get it stamped on each visit and after six I think you get a free meal (see t&c) Charlie and Owen were very attentive and checked in regularly with us. Definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Thanks guys!
THE ALLOTMENT Plant based Eatery in Manchester Tapas with a view I was lucky enough to win a voucher at Christmas to the infamous allotment a lil hidden gem in the city with a stunning location near the cathedral The perfect spot to wine and dine Which me and my mum did just that and had a lovely time I’ve wanted to come here for so long and the new launch of their spring menu made it a must The decor captures a jungle vibe and feel at home with well thought out interior to capture their ethos and vision Welcomed by Bradley who was faultless start to finish and the service was second to non , plus had conversation through social media with mellisa who was more than helpful to make the visit a pleasure It’s concept focuses on more whole food which is very rare nowadays usually replaced by ‘meat’ alternatives so this was a refreshing and bold approach elevating plant based to new levels by the talented chef Tom they have taken previous feedback on board to change other dishes showing they want to give people the best Due to tough times the restaurant has had to adapt and include more veggie dishes to be more accessible Everything was faultless for example my mum isn’t vegan/ veggie and raved about the whole experience They have great deals including the tapas featuring 2 ‘small plates’ (however was more than plentiful ) and a drink £14.99 my mum got rose wine and I got a new tea I’ve never heard of Genmaicha (think sugar puffs/popcorn) however not to my preference so kindly swapped for a vanilla black with dairy free milk For food we ordered sticky cauliflower (still dreaming about and need to try re create ) the plant Caesar ,roasted hispi cabbage in a gorgeous miso butter and char Sui jackfruit Bao Plus the soup and sandwich deal for £10 that was the most fab focaccia with a spicy style squash soup with ginger a lime To finish we couldn’t resist a dessert so had to get the lil trio to share featuring my first red velvet, brownie and scone that was still warm with strawberry jam and cream Served by Charlie who was was the sweetest and so lovely will certainly return
Delicious vegan food. Really tasty. My vegetarian friend said it was the best meal she has had in years! Had the 3 tapas for £18 option plus a dessert. Just the right quantity of food. Had about 10 different dishes between us and couldn't fault any of them. The decor and ambience was lovely. Bradley was so really attentive and made us smile and Charlie super friendly too. Will definitely be coming back
